The Current Is

Inside Out

I am a practice-based researcher. I work and think with glass and language, and I document my discovery processes in slow film lecture-performances. Building on my background in anthropology and art, I investigate how glass and language actively co-produce our social worlds as more-than-human entities. Central to my work is the long slow pause - or ma - through which I reflect on how I live together with these materials. My desire is to create a relational space in that pause wherein I can imagine a different kind of interaction. One that does not degrade materials to purely natural resources and exploits them for human appetites.
